  • Discover the Malouinière de la Ville Bague
In the 17th century, shipowners from Saint-Malo, feeling cramped within the city walls, built vast mansions in the hinterland: the Malouinières, of which there are nearly a hundred! Surrounded by flower gardens, these mansions still bear witness to the opulent lifestyle of their former owners: tapestries depicting travel scenes, paintings, statues, and various objects from around the world. La Ville Bague is one of the most beautiful Malouinières still open to the public, and it's located just 3 kilometers from the campsite!

  • Meet the privateers in Saint-Malo
The city of Saint-Malo is steeped in its privateering past. A visit allows you to walk in the footsteps of Robert Surcouf and René Duguay-Trouin. Statues of Saint-Malo's "Great Men" stand on and around the ramparts. You can also take a 1.3 km walk around the walled city and discover breathtaking views! And don't forget to board the frigate L'Étoile du Roy at the Vauban Basin!

  • To board the Fort National
To protect the city from English attacks, Vauban had several bastions built around the bay, including the Fort National, which can be visited at low tide from the beach of the Fan, opposite the ramparts.

  • Saint-Servan, Alet and the 39-45 memorial
Just a few hundred meters from the city center, you'll reach an equally fascinating district: Saint-Servan. This is where the city of Saint-Malo was built! Saint-Servan is a sprawling district, encompassing shops and a market, as well as a small port and a peninsula steeped in history. Strolling along the Alet citadel trail, you'll discover World War II relics and an underground museum.

  • Visit to the dam and the usine marémotrice de la Rance
There are only two dams like this one in the world, using the power of the tides to produce electricity! The Rance tidal power plant, linking Saint-Malo to Dinard by spanning the Rance river, can be visited free of charge.

  • Visit the Cathédraloscope in Dol de Bretagne
